The constitution of India has given equal right to all of it citizens irrespective of sex, class and caste though in the real situation, men are the more powerful than the women; upper class is more powerful than the lower and same with the caste too. Being a part of this society, Lok Prerna has its full faith on the constitution and to establish the constitution more effectively in all level of the society, ensuring human right is one of the thrust areas of this organization in all of its developmental initiatives. People realize their rights when they exercise it and to establish the human rights, Lok Prerna make the people aware about how to exercise their rights through the participation in the decision making process. To ensure the active participation of the weaker section of the society, Lok Prerna organized these unorganized people in the small community based groups which gives them the strength to be a part of the constitution. So, making the unorganized people organized is another thrust area of Lok Prerna since the inception. Awareness brings the power to the poor and marginal people to raise their voices against any kind of exploitation towards them. So, ensuring the entitlements of the people is also a way to exercise their power given by the constitution. So, ensuring the realization of the entitlement of the weaker section of society is also a thrust area of Lok Prerna. Providing the same importance toward maintaining the ecological balance through bio-diversity conservation for the better future of the society is the other thrust area of Lok Prerna. Lok Prerna believes that the maintaining ecological balance is equally important with the maintenance of balance growth of the society as people alive only when a good ecological balance is maintained in the environment. So, Lok Prerna always adopts the eco-friendly path for the human development.
